Chaos is part of its charm and the writing contributes to that. The downside is it sometimes leaves the reader confused and requires re-reading some parts.The expanded parts are clearer and the added character interactions are great on their own. I'd say continue with the story for now, and rewrite the whole thing at ponepaste stage if you feel like it. I'd read it again in upgraded form.
