Is there a drawing app to teach how to draw? Like duolingo but drawing
>>7833644Companies are too focused on making ai slop AR drawing apps
>>7833644For daily drawing? Well there's the /dad/ thread and site.If we're just talking about drawing... I've heard of none, but there is a pixel art game that teaches you how to make the stuff called "pixel art academy".Otherwise, I haven't heard of such a thing, it could be a good business opportunity to fill said hole in the market, but for the love of god, don't do a freemium system; value your wisdom and efforts more than that... and also not let the scene become even more competitive with shitty cash strapped losers.
Artwod is similar in essence, but it's not a mobile app as far as I know
>>7833644fuck off chris
Does this actually improve your reach? If you are verified, how much does X pay?
>>7827223There was nothing to ruin in the first place, but making more people hate it is a positive in my book. Can only hope it dies for good eventually.
>>7825030>(100-200 likes even though they have 20k+ followers)In their defense half of those can easily be a mix of bots and inactive accounts. I see 50k+ and even 100k+ artists getting "bad" ratios.

>>7830843What sight-size guide are you following? You're doing some things right but a hhandful wrong.
>>7832252>What sight-size guide are you following?Non, i always draw via proportion measurement.
>>7832260>Non, i always draw via proportion measurement.Well its true for drawing from life. When im doing studys digitally or when i draw on paper from ipad ref, i usualy do sight size. Measuring in such a set-up feels retarded.

Can somebody please recommend me a figure drawing book? The way I draw figures is really obtuse and I can't even remember my own method half the time. I'd really prefer to learn how to draw figures in a way that isn't retarded.
Why drawing on a tablet sucks so bad? It doesn't even compare to the feeling of drawing on paper. It's harder and so much less satisfying. Is there a way to fix this?
>>7833530There are paper-like screen protectors
>>7833530skill issue, beg
wacom bro stop being a huion pleb
>>7833530yes, draw on paper, you dumb nigger
>>7833530Keep using tablet first month sucks the most then it will stop if you are new to this. If you are not then i guess it's not for you.
How many hours and courses do I need to spend on drawing to draw in a style similar to this one?
First attempt at drawing breasts or porn. Don’t be mean.
>>7832124what is this course
>>7832155You didn't even try here and gave up half way. go away quitter

if you had the power to force the whole of /ic/ to read one book in its ENTIRETY, which one would it be and why?
>>7833126That book is stupid as fuck
>>7833092>Worst Forever War cover I have ever seen.Marvano's adaption is pretty good.
Not a book and more for the writing side of art but this movie changed me when I was high school
I also think The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is great in regards to failure, finding your way in life, and comparing yourself to geniuses.>buhbuhbuh what about Blue PeriodMaybe you'll get something from it if youre an absolute beginner who has never seen a pencil before. All the "lessons" is teaches are elementary art class level.

Anyone got any experience with baraag.net? How is it as an art blog? How long does it normally take to get a response when you're trying to register?
>>7823789And that's why social media is dogshit and why everyone is just spamming popular anime/gacha character of the month combined with meme/trend outfit of the week to potentially get lucky with likes or retweets.
It's been 5 days, and I haven't gotten a response.
baraag is a meme that consists of 90% nightmare fuel. Literally only wysteria's feed is the only thing worth following on it.
it's over

How about a short film thread. I will start.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdappdXGeNU
It feels like home.
>>7833089two frames don't make a short film
>>7833116Technically it is four frames.
I'll add a couple of animations I think are /ic/ appropriate because they're very visual. Here's a favourite music video of mine:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJE1HoHabMwAnd here's some fashion ad with handsome gay robots:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdYQzzP7lZc
Can you learn art through osmosis?
>>7829455>Don't reply if you're gonna make shit up.Name ONE
No, but you will get better from observation
>>7829047
>>7829081I think it'd be more grim if all 3 million were watching - do they have nothing better to do than watch fucking twitch? There's also the possibility that a lot of them are old, no longer active, accounts.
>>7829044No, but if you're just doing nothing anyway, watching art streams is better than watching random unrelated videos. It keeps drawing at the top of your mind and might give you some ideas for things to try later. But all the actual improvement comes from you moving the pencil across the paper, don't get it confused.
Was he a good painter?
>>7833602I didn't know Bill Clinton could paint.
When not drawing the characters yourself, where do you usually look for token art? I used to grab them from Pinterest before it got flooded with tons of samey AI images.
>>7833591Just use Pinterest, they've added an ai filter. It removes 90% of the slop for me
Observation drawing = working on your art > fundamentals >>>>>> grindingIs this the current meta for learning?
>>7833219how do I learn without drawing or grinding?
>>7833220Dunno
observational drawing pisses me the fuck off every time I overlay my drawing over the original and look at all the inaccuracies and just think FUCK this
If true then how does one know what is too immature for one to draw at his age and what is fine to draw?
>>7825114What does it mean to be "mature"?
No... Consider that adults are the ones who have to make childhood entertainment.
>>7828117I was going to say that it's just something you know; a "gut feeling" essentially... but after giving it a bit more thought, I think maturity can be described as 'complexity'.Where as children's shows have black and white morality, and simple straight forward stories and emotion; "mature" shows will be a lot more nuanced (or in other words; complex), even the same situations that were presented as black and white in the kids shows, will be shown so that we can understand why the antagonist did what they did, or perhaps the solution will also be morally ambiguous, etc...There's also tits and ass and violence and stuff, but that's "mature" for age gated reasons, rather than because these things are actually mature.
>>7828057>Like how you can spot incels by how comically overglorified their approach sexual content is.>but if you start writing barely comprehensible self-insert fan fiction about it, people should rightly start to question your mental health.I need examples of both of these, pretty please.>t. autist
>>7828767this was a really thoughtful explanation of maturity>>7826448I have "edgy" OC's I still draw and I'm almost 30. I just repackaged them with my adult world view now. example: He's not edgy and "cooler than everyone", he's a survivor of CPTSD that doesn't trust people. She's not a "rich bitch" she's a materialistic, social climber. Even children's cartoons show the "child" protagonist sometimes having adult thoughts of morality and empathy. I think it's how you get away with drawing "childish" things throughout life. I think art is for enjoyment first, and then secondly the viewer, so don't worry about if it's childish. Especially if you WANT it to appeal to children. Wasn't Shadow the hedgehog made to deliberately be edgy? And Edward Cullen.

On Wacom, do you need to press a little bit instead of just moving the stylus? This is my first time using a tablet. Is this normal?
Is the wacom movink tab 14 worth it over the 11in wacom tab? I wanna upgrade from my Galaxy tab s7 and I have enough to comfotably get either so price isnt a major concern
>>7832648You can hover over the tablet with the stylus in order to move the cursor but to actually draw you have to press.
>>7833353I mean, the stylus pen touches the screen, but to get a line you need to press a little.
>>7831652Procreate is great for sketching but is still a niche software so there arent enough tutorials. Also lacks a ton of stuff that Clip Studio has like 3D models.Clip Studio requires a subscription and the UI isnt the most mobile friendly.I have an iPad pro and it's FUN to draw on but I usually find myself wishing for a bigger screen and a second monitor for references and youtube help.
