>>12259950Nevermind! i managed to solve it!Here's the fix 1. UNF is uncompatible with UT99 demo version files, OldUnreal installation of UT99 has them, so search 'utdemo' related file and delete them2. Create a UT99 shortcut, and add this to the location '-INI=UnrealFortress.ini -USERINI=UnrealFortressUser.ini'It should be something like >C:\UnrealTournament\System\UnrealTournament.exe -INI=UnrealFortress.ini -USERINI=UnrealFortressUser.iniIf there's no UnrealFortress.ini and UnrealFortressUser.ini in your UT's system folder, try to copy the .ini files INSIDE of your UNF installation SYSTEM folder and move it INSIDE to your UT99 SYSTEM FOLDERHope it helps

>found a cool TFC Pyro frag movie a couple years ago>can't find it now I know it used the song Barbie Girl in there
>>12262476https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfrYusCUTDEfound it
>>12262493I love this frag movie, I kind how clan / guild communities are built between specialized players, you have entire clans based on sniper, spy and pyro players gathering and doing their best, i think that sense of community has been lost to time
This game should have been delayed and released on the 360. They fucked themselves releasing on the PS2.
>>12258719Everyone that played it loved it. Many memories were made with friends tryingto make new characters(still have twoemory cards with saves from it).
>>12261726Ivy and Mitsurugi are right there and take up more room than he does.
>>12258660Why did they never push an update to this? I feel like "destroys your fucking memory card if you delete any data older than it" is bad enough to warrant printing some more discs
It was super based

Why does America always insist on DUBBING everything? We could've had our RPGs in Japanese.
>>12255932>>12255940>>12255974>>12258608Boy, it sure is INDIAN in here, lmao.>>12256497Right, it's not like it's a widely known fact that Japanese acting, in general, is fucking rancid dogshit. Hang yourself you fuckstupid retard.
>>12261405Why'd you take issue with >>12258608
>>12255932i have a friend who asked me once when watching me play a game without a dub "why aren't they speaking english? i thought games stopped doing that." in the most disgusted tone. that's why. it's because of people with that kind of mindset.
>>12256498>SatellaviewReally wanna play that FE title with voiceovers
>>12255932A lot of people are fucking idiots and want to do the least amount of brain work possible. Dub means no reading, and reading be too hard for ape brain, simple as that
give me ways to cheese Memesis in the Clock Tower fight
Yes, there is a way to cheese it. In the screen with the statue, Nemesis can get stuck on the left side of it and will never get unstuck.

What's the deal with the old Sonic games? The levels are a god damn mess, and you have to go through them so fast that I can barely remember what they looked like. Can't remember which sonic game had the tech level, the jungle level, the casino level with the bouncy things, the one with water...
>>12261695But I was busy playing good games (Mario, DKC, Megaman, etc)I know those like the back of my hand and each level in them made an impression that stuck with me.
>>12261702Nice, another troll "Sonic was never good thread" and mentioning only Nintendo titles as good. Console wars are so 90's, you don't have to be faithful to the one console your parents can afford anymore, anon, you can play anything and enjoy it all like a normal person, denying Sonic was memorable because you can't play it just makes you look bad at video games.
>>122617022d mario has time limits too, and they are far less than the 10 minute timer for sonic.
>>12259997>you have to go through them so fastSQUEAKSQUEAKSQUEAK
Sonic games aren't interesting when you're exploring or going slow.Platforming feels off and the level design is very bland.Still not bad but not that great either.>>12262626I liked Sonic more than Mario as a kid, even had a Sonic thematic birthday party more than once.Still think that Mario is much better than Sonic. It's just the truth, anon.
UNATCO... home.

>>12261739Do you think Paul ever scored Zyme from the junkies down the corridor? Maybe he used to try and coax the owner's daughter into, you know, hanging out..... smoking a little Zyme together, maybe that's why she had to sell her ass with Jo Jo. All because of JC's brother getting her hooked on vials.

the clock is ticking.soon enough, even the properly stored, high quality pressed discs will start degrading, because everything does.how will i cope?
>>12261283I don't care about having the original disks or systems anymore. Data is data. I find the concept that I HAVE to have physical copies of older games to be quite retarded . Is burning them to another disc considered heresy or something?
You better be helping Redump.org get the remaining PC discs, then.
>>12262347>i have never been and never will be able to affored the original disks or systems
>>12262347careful anon, you're gonna get some thirdie calling you poor because you enjoy playing games instead of hoarding them

>This will sell our videogame.
>>12262290people complain about the man jaws in mk games but that's literally just white women (unless they're fat YUCK)
>>12262227Except it did? Aerosmith were experiencing a massive come back during the 90s so yeah it made sense for them to get a video game. Hope that helps!
This was the loudest cabinet in most any arcade. I remember it standing out in an era when everything was trying to be louder than the next machine
Definition of a quarter muncher, to the point that the arcade game is apparently effectively impossible for a human to 1CC it without cheating. It's one of those things which is fun to play because of the silly concept, the enjoyment of using one of those mounted guns, and the occasional doses of ass and titties, but I can't imagine playing it for more than a handful of credits.
>>12262747Finding all the secrets gives it some longevity. I had the shitty Sega Genesis port as a kid. Imagine my frustration when I discovered that the box maze is different from the arcade version so I couldn't look up guides for getting the secret wing which is needed for the good ending. In fact, looking it up now I still don't see any guides or even youtube videos. I did stumble into the solution once or twice as a kid but never wrote it down.

>>12258121They have a few. They should show them off more in segments or tamage trips.

This is amazing, I want this but more of it!>sequel exists>cuts out the sim gameplayabsolutely disgusting
>>12261084Actraiser is a greater than the sum of it's parts type of game. Neither mode is fantastic on it's own but they work together very well.>>122611252's controls are an acquired taste. It takes a while to get used to them. Once you get used to them the game is pretty fun. Try the Japanese version, it's a bit easier game overall.
I think Soul Blazer was actually the best approach for the series. ActRaiser has too many menus, Terranigma doesn't have enough interaction with the world you're building. Soul Blazer mechanics with Terranigma's combat and ActRaiser's level of detail would be ideal.
>>12261125I understand why you'd feel that way, because I think everybody does when first playing it, but ActRaiser 2 is the embodiment of "git gud." Once you master the controls, its action is really good, and way better than the action parts of the first game. Start with easy mode, practice the gliding, mess with the spells, and you'll see what I mean. The graphics were indeed great, with an awesome style (like the final boss being inspired by the Inferno), and the story was more poignant overall. If you can look past the lack of the sim mode, it's a great game, but it only becomes great the more effort you put unto mastering it.
I don't even like the sim elements so I played the Arcade version which removes that and also makes the game much harder.
I enjoyed the remake but I can see how some people would just prefer the sidescroller sections
ITT: Games that don't feel retro to you at all because you're so old.
>>12262443>I think even fucking Roblox is able to be posted here now.Technically yes, since it was launched in 2006. Before the hack, jannies would delete threads about it despite being allowed in the rules.
>>12261883jeez, seeing this in stores as a kid feels like 100 years ago at this pointyou must be literal fossil fuel desu

Why did Rocket Robot on Wheels not sell well? Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo Kazooie all sold well, so why not this one? I'm pretty sure many people disliked this game without even giving it a chance. What made Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, and Donkey Kong 64 better games to the average normie?
>>12262131>>12262229Ubi Soft released Rocket the same month as Rayman 2. They put all marketing on their own man, leaving robot with no hope to do well.
>>12262131As others have said, no marketing budget is a big reason. Another is that Rocket isn’t an established character or series. The 3D collectathon era didn’t actually last that long, and was already getting a little crowded. Rocket isn’t a great example of that style of game but it’s not really full of mind-blowing, jaw dropping moments where you’re seeing things that have never been done before.
>>12262131>mario and dkEstablished series.>banjo kazooieNotice that Jojo the raccoon doesn't have presence like Gruntilda. Rocket doesn't talk. Tinker is a non-character. Whoopie doesn't talk. Dr. Gavin is absent. Yeah and the music could be a factor.
>>12262650BK was also a unique character concept, where you are technically controlling two characters at the same time. Plus, Banjo and Kazooie's personalities are very different from each other. So that opened the doors to have a lot of fun with the dialogue.
>>12262160>cover artI will also add that having your wheeled robot character + tracks featured front and center on the box art (not to mention the title emphasizing that the character is "on wheels") makes it look more like some sort of racing game than a 3D platformer, so I imagine 3D platformer fans would have overlooked it entirely, and racing fans who rented (or bought it) would've been disappointed to find out that it is much more of a platformer than any sort of actual racing game. It's one of those games that I think I remember seeing at Blockbuster but never actually renting.
Is this a good way to sell a Mahjong game?
>>12262618I think it's more Japan honry and then that's it. They got porn games on every system.
>>12262653Not really, most of these games were on Japanese home computers, the Saturn and PS1 didn't really have any actual porn games (for example steam hearts and Yu-no were heavily censored on the Saturn and PS1.)
>>12262698>the Saturn and PS1 didn't really have any actual porn gamesThe Saturn actually had licensed 18+ eroge at first but in 98 Sega stopped allowing X-rated games according to Sega Retro
