Originally this was made for tickleholics like yours truly, but I'm thinking it could be adapted to other lewd situations like mindbreak or slave training. It could even work as a straight up vanilla system, if you reflavour Torment as love or something. That might make the "resist" angle a bit weird, but ymmv.

(Youtube version with graphics and audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq4s5fQZDW4 )

All over the world (or at least where Christianity or capitalism has spread) on Christmas, some fairy-tale character brings gifts to children. In the vast majority of places, it is Santa Claus. Poland is no exception here - or at least most of its territory. However, there are regions where a different character reigns - specifically in the Poznań region, the Lubusz region, Kujawy and Warmia (specifically in those parts of them that were under the Prussian partition), Kashubia and Kociewie, and the Bydgoszcz region. This giftgiver is known as Gwiazdor (which means “Starman”, “Man of Stars”).

Nowadays, very often his disguise looks identical to Santa's, leaving only the name as a distinguishing factor. But its traditional appearance is slightly different and quite specific. Traditionally the person portraying the Gwiazdor wears a mask or has his face smeared with soot (we warn Western readers - there is no reason to believe that it has anything to do with blackface, there is not the slightest suggestion that the Gwiazdor has anything to do with Africa). He is dressed in either a sheepskin coat or clothing made of tar. Sometimes he is accompanied by a female figure, called Gwiazdka (“Little Star”) - she, in turn, traditionally has her face covered with a veil or simply a piece of cloth.

Sorry, character limits, rest of the text is available in the free brochure: https://adeptus7.itch.io/lovecraftian-inspirations-from-real-life-and-beliefs

The problem with the Fly skill is not that you need to make checks with it. The problem with the Fly skill is that Pathfinder generally condensed skills only to add another one, the classes that need to be flying to cope with enemies cannot afford the skill points and are also flat out disallowed from gaining ranks in the skill until they gain a source of flight, and that it's an ACP check.
>>
>>97199976
Flight hard blocks tripping in PF to the point where the exception has to state you're allowed to trip flying creatures.
>>
>>97200067
>the classes that need to be flying to cope with enemies cannot afford the skill points
I do not understand this. can you provide an example? which classes need to be flying to cope with enemies?

afaik, in standard play, PCs get by with the Fly spell which gives you good maneuverability, +4 to fly skill checks and because its not winged flight none of these failure points are a concern. your only issue is you might not be able to make the DC 15 to Hover for your full attack, but that's not usually an issue anyway in areal combat because everyone tends to move about and maneuver

A survey from major retailers showing trends in the American market (where gw gets about half their money from btw) is in fact worth more than some spergs saying "well in my lgs in north kyrgyzistan noone plays 40k and warmachine dominates the scene". Cope and seethe about it if that brings you peace.

LOTR is a loosely dark-ages setting written by a master linguist drawing directly from mythology more than anything else.

WHFB is a distillation of the entirety of 20th century pulp fantasy with a strong Moorcockian strain (All the "Chaos" stuff), including but not limited TO Tolkien, and with a loosely renaissance era setting.

Like what the fuck man?
Any broad similarities basically come down to having common ancestry in storytelling traditions.
Cultures have stock characters and archetypes, dumb dumb.
They're part of the semiotics of that way of storytelling.
The fuck are you even here for?
>>

>major retailers showing trends in the American market
Why are you making shit up? ICv2 is worthless because they don't release their methodology. You saying major retailers is a cope with no evidence. It's just as likely to say it's one half stocked store that they pull their numbers from. Completely and unironically worthless and you'd be laughed out of high school let alone university for trying to use it as a source of anything.

Retarded aunties and uncles think they'd have been some middle nobility under the brit rule, oppressing any other people they hate. They're dumb fucking children and should be ignored. There's still people in post-soviet russia wanting it back because they lived in the nicer parts and were away from the atrocities.

>was actually the greatest boon imaginable to the people living there.

The western countries looting the countries for their own benefit playing a big part. And they're industrializing on their own, too. You're the one upset about these countries playing catch-up.

ReconQuest is a lot simpler to run, vastly more intuitive. It cuts down the bad autism (how the fuck do I play this game) and keeps the good autism (magic, optional mechanics, antisemitism).
>>
>>97200416
>Pillaging
Actually the biggest wealth transfer during the raj was from the maharajahs to the ordinary people, who were suddenly getting paid a wage for what they do. Lets repeat that another way because you seem fairly stupid, even for a brown, leftists or (yuck) a brown leftist.
Before the raj the labour of peasants was almost entirely forced with no remuneration. Caste obligations, bonding, corvee and sharecropping. The raj forced princes to pay people for their labour, resulting in a massive amount of indian peasants actually having disposable income. Furthermore the raj, the company armies etc. paid not just a wage but a good one and generally didn't care who they paid it to as long as the work was good and on time.
Seething about the british not respecting caste is one of the biggest themes you'll get when reading historical accounts from indians.

It's not just railroads, the british monetized taxation, built canals, expanded irrigation and provided a gigantic market for indian peasants to sell into, bringing massive benefit to their lives. There's a reason peasants fought for the british during the 1857 mutiny, you know. In fact more company units stayed loyal than mutinied.
>>

>You're the one upset about these countries playing catch-up.
No, I'm annoyed about you telling blatant, ridiculous lies about why they have to play catch up. China was never colonized.

Vista edition

>Cyberpunk 2020 vs. Cyberpunk RED?
Cyberpunk 2020 is the second edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG that focuses on simulation gameplay and has a black trenchcoat aesthetic.

Cyberpunk RED is the fourth edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG that is set after Cyberpunk 2020 following the Fourth Corporate War, focuses on more balanced gameplay and is more streamlined but has less content.

You can discuss Shadowrun here too because I also feel bad for those guys.

I suppose? In 2077 the way Judy nonchalantly "mixed" BD's made it sound like you just had to tune the sensations correctly to make a (relatively) safe product.

I would figure abusing BDs or XBDs would have a negative effect. You're effectively flooding your brain with dopamine or other stimulating sensations, which over the long term would "fry" your brain the same way a chronic drinker or chem abuser might suffer. That's my interpretation anyway
There's also the virtu, which is explored more in 2077 where you join someone else inside a BD environment. In that case, I figure you could redo your avatar to be whatever you want. That way, even if you're a fat disgusting slob IRL, you could be cute shota or a masculine hunk of a guy in the virtu and feel that way despite being jabba the hut in meatspace. A similar concept was in Surrogates starring Bruce Willis (the movie is kinda dumb by today's standards, but it explored some interesting cyberpunk ideas)
This would also allow you (or a partner) to larp loli, woman, monster, or whatever your imagination could conceive.
>>97202803
>child abuse is still illegal in Night City.
Which I figured would be the case. As for
> fully legal BD called ''wet dream' which lets you be 'the dream or the dreamer'.
It looks kind of rapey with the cover art, but I'd need some more substantial evidence of what it entails before I say "you can buy legal rape/murder BD's as long as it's only simulated rape/murder." I'd reserve the XBD label for actual recordings of rape/murder that used 100% real rape and murder sensations for their sensation profile.
Arguably, whether BD or XBD, both could be tuned to be more or less intense for the viewer's pleasure, so I don't think any BD is going to give someone a pure translation of the original sensation that was recorded to create it.
>>
>>97203525
>as long as it's only simulated rape/murder.
Well I presume Mike and CDPR intended for us to read between the lines here, considering investors might be a little nervous about pushing the envelope that much when a video game costs as much money as it does.
They almost cut rebecca from edgerunners because they thought there'd be backlash over her character design.
>>
I'm refereeing for a group of 3 female players. All three are new to Cyberpunk but they have played D&D 5e before and are ok with trying out a new system. I have never GM'd D&D for them but I did play together with 2 of them and they are ok.
any advice with storytelling for women?

Are they genre-aware? Cyberpunk is not a lighthearted dungeon-crawling fantasy setting. This is a world where if you fuck up, you're dead fast, or worse, your body ends up in some scab chop shop or a corpo lab where you're experimented on and then discarded when you've outlived your usefulness. Particularly for the time of the RED, all of Night City just reeks of shittiness
> You start off poor, living out of a shipping container or on the street
>No one can source anything
>everyone is trying to fuck everyone else out of money
>The city is filled with hyper-violence, rape, poverty, and corruption
>practically everything you do will cost you humanity, so you have to carefully balance your calendar to allow for some "vacation days" so you don't go cyberpsycho.
It depends on the constitution of the players, but if they're normie girls who watched the anime and want some Chromeo and Juliet story, I think they may be disappointed. If they're used to more hard-fantasy stories with grim-dark elements, I think they'd be at home in the game.

If their IQ is above room temperature, they should enjoy the same stories guys enjoy (if you're a good storyteller). Other than that, I would go over their character sheet and try to implement parts of their backstory into whatever narrative you're crafting when you can. Guys like this as well, of course. It shows the DM/Ref didn't just glance at the character sheet and handwave them into the world.
>>

I'd be more worried about their tabletop game preconceptions coming from 5E more than gender. While you can definitely run your first session however you like (detective mystery, lots of combat, classic heist, social interaction, community building, etc) if you do have a fight it has to be brutal. If 5E players don't at least get a few funny crits in their first combat they won't ever respect the threat of combat. You don't have to make combat hardened especially if the players don't minmax (but since they are 5E players I'm confident they'll at least google 'cyberpunk red starting advice' like mine did).

So far my female players have been a violent techrunner who likes upgrading gear for much more danger, another netrunner who likes befriending AI and trapping them in household appliances without wifi access, and a solo who started a gang (which were a failed edgerunner group the crew beat in an early job but I gave them way too much personality). So maybe women are more receptive to interesting NPCs and building groups?

I'm also running Savage Tide for my kids (20-somethings) adapted to 5E and it's really good. Currently on Serpents of Scuttlecove (The Wreck). I'm building a 3D battlemat for that one right now and hope to finish it this weekend.

The campaign as written is pretty brutal, and I tend to be pretty forgiving since the players are not super experienced (and they're my daughters!). But when handled carefully, it's one heck of a ride. :)

There's probably going to be some twist that the Starbeasts are man made or something at some point as well.

>Robot Alchemic Drive
By /m/ standard it's fully acceptable, just another mechanized vehicles, but it's not mecha by in a useful terminology.

>BEHOLD! A MAN!
Unless it is capable of crossing obstacles without using its tracks, it fails at the "limbed locomotion" criteria.
If it is capable of that, I have no problem with a mecha that use wheels/tracks/flight most of the time.

>Everything [...] influences war
I fear that by having this discussion we are (accidentally?) cooperating for mutual understanding & profit.

>I'm a strong advocate in my older age that the maximum any series should be is 50 episodes, and ideally should only be 8-24
In my old book what matter is for stories to be started with an ending in mind. Episodic stuff is a distinct matter.

>but it's still "too predictable" because the story still follows all patterns to a T, including meta-patterns

I once ran a campaign like that.
>The main premise was that a huge force of pirates starts harassing a crucial world without any reason or clear goal.
>Turns out they are Union false flag
>As players dig deeper, they learn that Galsim is a sham. It's been giving inaccurate predictions for centuries.
>But Union leadership is so indoctrinated into the idea of it being always right they start to "fix" its mistakes by stirring shit in real world to match the simulation.
>Players join a military coup and storm Mars facility to switch off the simulation
>Destroying the minds causes a new Age of Strife style dark age

I feel like this edition has alot of objectively bad things about it and is absolutely where the alot of worst qualities of current editions showed up. But I feel like I prefer playing this edition compared to a lot of previous editions and 10th edition. Its a weird transitional period where there's still a lot of the old units that haven't been legended yet while still having the fucking Primaris lot. Its strange but I don't feel like I'm missing out on much staying on this edition and playing with friends casually instead of going back to playing the current edition.

Is there any specific inclusions in the 7th edition ruleset that you think would make 8th edition's set better?

Dude I fucking love 8th

ARMOR OF CONTEMPT!
NO ONE'S EVER BEEN ABLE TO USE THAT BEFORE!

It was my first edition of 40k which means I have a biased outlook on it. 8th was very easy to slide into but I can't really say I enjoyed it that much more than 9th (I quit for 30k towards the tail end).
Index 8th was very enjoyable but then stratagem bloat, detachment-maxxing, rule of 3 soured the game for me.

Damn. Roll (1d10) for architectural quirks.

Probably some kind of abbot. Goddamn, we've had nothing but 1s. Roll (1d20) for social quirks.

Holy shitballs. This subsector truly is cursed. Roll (1d20) for ruling class quirks. Also: eunuchs were (and still are) atypically denied full ordination so... Monk planet isn't going to kind to them.
